passage of Amendment 1 to the Florida Constitution.
The values used in this calculator are the 2009 Certified Values.
The taxes used in this calculator are based on the 2009 Certified
Millage (tax) Rates.
If you selected "Outside Leon County" as the area you are moving to, the taxes are
not available.
The Market Value of your new home is estimated to be 85% of the purchase price you entered.
The maximum portability benefit that can be transferred is $500,000.
The additional $25,000 homestead exemption does not apply to School
Taxes.
This calculator assumes that no portion of your property is used for non-homestead purposes
such as commercial, agricultural, etc.
First-time homebuyers are not eligible for portability savings. If
you are a first-time homebuyer, the portability amount listed above applies
to the previous owner of this property.
